First impressions really are everything! Great cover design will get your book noticed and draw in your potential buyers. And if you'll be selling your book on Amazon, it's important to have a cover that stands out!
For both fiction and non-fiction books, your cover needs to be integrated with the interior design and convey your brand. Sometimes this is best achieved with photography, sometimes illustration.

Interior Formatting

Interion book formatting is a great example where great design and layout goes unnoticed... but, boy does it call attention to itself and look unprofessional if not done correctly. Plus, maybe your manuscript calls for a little pizazz!
If you've checked out more than a page or two of this website, you probably realize that I'm a big fan of the ellipsis... (love those little dots!!) But don't worry... only appropriate punctuation for your manuscript!!
Did you know hyphenation should never cross a page spread? And no orphans? No widows? What is an em dash and when should it be used?
Don't know what any of that means? That's okay, because I do and it's what I do best—make sure your book is properly formatted so that the reader just ambles along lost in the beauty of your words, not stopped short by awkward formatting.

eBook Design
When it comes to ebook formatting there are two types: Flowable and Fixed Layout. I specialize in formatting for Fixed Layout Books.
Fixed Layout eBooks retain their layout and do not resize according to the device. If your ebook has a lot of images and you want to keep your beautiful design intact, then Fixed Layout is the better choice.
